Oversight or attempt to deceive – probably oversight and the sort of thing that my boss is a stickler for attention to detail, does everything talk to everything else.
But I think the biggy here is that this has been sat there unchallenged for 4 months? and today by your action something has happened very quickly – the power of the conversation and of 'listening' – Makes me chuckle, following yesterday's post/comment – in response today to a question from Ms Ward, I happened to mention where I work and some poor chap who's been having some issues with one of our products tweeted me – I'm like “sorry, hope you get a resolution” but there was no one from the 'company' listening, who could have engaged him, started to make him feel like he was being listened to… so respect to O2 if they are actually listening, engaging and taking action..

@brucegskinner Thanks Bruce. And I couldn't agree with you more. Having a great looking site is one thing… but if no-one can find you or if the content isn't relevant or it's misleading then it needs addressing PDQ

SEO and Meta is a process that's STILL put on a 'to-do' list. But in reality it is THE process that should be on the top of the list…

Its not on the site. They only offer them if you threaten to leave Ive been with them for over 3 years-so maybe they are a company that actually value their customers….wonders…will…never…cease!

Or, as I suspect, there is not as much profit in it for them to offer iphone due to cost of item. They started offering to their high end users of £70+ per month (eeek!)
You can get all sorts if you beg nicely enough LOL. I was offered 3 options and I had to dig a bit for the full cost info over the timescale, but ended up with a good deal, phone i wanted, plus contract length i wanted. Pretty successful really all told!

Off on a tangent but, Meta Description are sooo overlooked or badly used by so many. Who uses Yellow pages to get in contact with a company these days? Not I. I type there name/service into a search engine. The Meta Description should have enough detail in it to allow me to pick up the phone and contact that company without even landing on their site. SEO and Meta Descriptions matter more than a flashy website.
So I would say, pull your socks up o2

Yes and another new thing- the merger with Orange is going ahead- they told me on the phone. Tmobile only offer the 16gb model though and to select customers at present-or ones that ask and are willing to pay basically! However, they do give a much better deal with more minutes and full inc unlimited texts/web and choice of contract length.
PLUS when they go live with Orange their network will definitely be the largest for web access. TMobile often has a better coverage than others I find, its why I waited, as I dont want to go with the other carriers. Customer service is great too, which is important to me.

@robertaward Well, I used subtle because the word 'Exclusively' only appears in the source code (META Description and Keywords) and so you can only read it when using search engines (unless you like reading code) However, 'Exclusively' is no where to be seen on the iPhone O2 webpage – which you would expect…

And I can't speak for people on whether they know about the iPhone also being available from Vodafone, Orange etc… Twitter poll perhaps?

But I've learned something new today, T-Mobile offering iPhones! I know that last year they had manged to get some iPhones from Germany, as it was announced that they were offering them to corporate a/c's/heavy tariff users. But I can't see where on their site they're selling them… link?

hmmmm, ok i have a question then….why is it a 'subtle marketing attempt'. Surely everyone knows that iphones can be had in various formats from lots of suppliers now. As you know I will be getting mine via T-Mobile.Arn't consumers more savvy these days?( YEY!)
Lastly, when was the last time you clicked on one of the 'ads' in Google? For me- hardly ever, and I tend to ignore the first few hits as we all know they are just ads too, and to be frank, the paid for ones generally arn't the best or cheapest when Im looking for something.Does has anyone else feel that way-or am i alone?
