Thanks Rob ;) I think libraries need to change the way they look at audience so that they don't end up becoming a 'free resource' for DVDs and Music... Hmmm, might blog about that next time :)

It amazes me how much search has become part of our lives... I mean, what did we do beofre we could 'google it'...? There are kids growing up that probably never go to a library but they will grow up with a definition in the Oxford Dictionary listing 'Google as:

Google: [Verb]
intr. To use the Google search engine to find information on the Internet.

trans. To search for information about (a person or thing) using the Google search engine.

Fantastic :)

Search has become the ubiquitous route to finding information, I so ofter hear 'google it' as the first retort to a request for information. With the plethora of social media and real-time search becoming more prevelant, it is easy to see how important they are becoming to information location and consumer 'education'

Hmmm. Interesting. Not something you would immediately think of , but when you do it becomes blindingly obvious. Being active is the key point isnt t? Actively engaging with your market and grasping the 'fear' nettle, realising it might sting a bit, but you're not gonna die from it!
