Monday
In Newbury. Spent most of the day finalising and running through a training prestation which I was delivering on Tuesday. But a couple of hours where set aside to test the QR code poll banners we’d had made for the Carbon Show at Excel.
Tuesday
Today was my biggest concern: how to get to Windsor in time for 1:15 but leaving from the Excel Centre…!
So I left home at 4:30 am and drove to Fulham Broadway. Got the tube to Custom House for the Excel Centre. Arrived 9:10 am. 50 mins to spare. Set up the QR code banners and showed several people how they worked plus the results page that was displayed after people placed their vote.
Left the Excel Centre to go to Windsor at 11:10. Arrived at Fulham Broadway at 12:05 and drove to Windsor. Arrived 1:04. Phewww, on time…! Started training the group to use the content managed system from 1.30-6pm, then had meeting with their Head of Marketing and PR and the web project manager. Got back to My MDs house at 9pm – had a drink, ironed shirt, trousers and tie went to bed.
Wednesday
Woke up at 5am. Left for Richmond at 6am arrived at 8:10. Got tube to Custom House – arrived at 9:15. Spoke with 87 people throughout the day RE: the poll we had developed using QR codes – and picked up some really good contacts
Left Excel Centre at 4:30 arrived home at 9pm
Thursday
Worked from home – phew(!) followed up with contacts made at the show until 1pm. Then started analytics project for new client – finished at 1am!
Friday
Working from Newbury. Left house at 6:30 arrived 8:30 due to traffic jams on A303 . Completed analytics projects at 2:30. 2:45 started recording CMS Joomla help videos for new client using ‘Jing Pro’ (such a cool programme) Finished at 4:45. Then wrote a quick start guide PDF to accompany the videos. Finished 6:45 pm. Left for home at 7pm, arrived at 8:40 pm to a very large glass of Pinot!
Now I’m on holiday for a week
