A great butcher – no, “an award winning butcher”

Over the weekend my Brother-in-Law (BIL) said that he’d been to the butcher in the local village to buy some lamb for the Sunday roast. Great I thought – as lamb is my favourite.

Later that afternoon, my Sister-in-Law (SIL) returns from having her hair cut in Northampton (about 45 mins away from where they live, but she, her sister and her Mum have been getting their hair done by this chap for about 10 years!) Anyway, as soon as she comes into the kitchen my BIL shouts out, “I bought the lamb from the butcher”. To which my SIL says, “no, the award winning butcher!”

Apparently everybody knows this butcher – sorry – this award winning butcher, even the hairdresser in Northampton knows this butcher…! He’s not just award winning he’s got the whole bloody country talking about him.

So here I am – can’t sleep – just thinking about this butcher. I didn’t get the name of the business or the butcher, but a quick Google search has brought up the only ‘award winning butcher’ in that area: ‘Abel & Cole’ http://www.abelandcole.co.uk and these definitely get the ’2 paper cups and string’ best communicator award for August and, without hesitation, gets filed under ‘Cocktail Party’.
